Overview
The GDRP impacts how all organisations collect, hold and process people’s personal data. Simply put, EU residents will now have greater say over what, how, why, where, and when their personal data is used, processed, or disposed of.
This rule clarifies how the EU personal data laws apply even beyond the borders of the EU. Any organisation that works with EU residents’ personal data in any manner, irrespective of location, has obligations to protect the data.
Clontarf Music School is focused on its GDPR compliance responsibilities by evaluating the new requirements and restrictions imposed by GDPR. We taken action necessary to ensure that we handle all data in compliance with the applicable law.
We are committed to meeting any contractual obligations for procedures, products and services and is approaching GDPR compliance on three main fronts:
To ensure our own compliance as a business that holds and processes people’s personal data.
To ensure our partners and suppliers adhere to the highest standards of compliance and GDPR regulation.
To ensure that our programs, software applications and services all support our customers’ GDPR compliance efforts.
GDPR Compliance Statement
Clontarf Music School undertook a full review of all internal security and privacy policies to ensure that all personal data within, or passing through the company, will be handled in accordance with GDPR regulations.
We will ensure consistent review and implementation of the relevant tools and practises to ensure the safeguarding of any data held or used on behalf of its employees and supply chains.
Employees & Teachers have been made aware of all GDPR restrictions, with the relevant training provided as necessary.
We use third-party cloud software to run our music school, timetabling, provide booking & payment features, and run advertising campaigns. These include:
Stripe, PayPal, MyMusic Staff, Google Ads & Analytics. By using our website and our services you agree to our terms and conditions, privacy policy, as well as the terms and conditions and data & privacy policies of our third-party providers.
Student Information
Our Policy in relation to enrolment forms and Data for students is: Current Students Data (Name, Address, Phone Number & Email) are used solely for the purpose of Music Education. Contact via these channels is used to keep Students, Parents & Guardians informed about Music Education and progress. We also use these channels to collect Fee’s for Music Lessons, Music Exams and other sundries related to Music Education.
If you are no longer taking lessons with us, we request that you inform us as soon as possible so your information can be marked as inactive. After a period of three months your information will be deleted. If you wish to return after this period all details we need to be collected again.
